Google äußert sich zum Samsung Gerichtsurteil
Nachdem das US-Gericht am Wochenende sein Urteil im Patentstreit zwischen Samsung und Apple verkündet (Samsung hat gegen das Urteil bereits Berufung eingelegt) und Samsung zu einer Zahlung von 1 Milliarde Dollar verdonnert hat, ist jetzt ein Statement von Google erschienen, in dem sich das Unternehmen zum Prozess äußert. Dies berichtet die US-Website AndroidSpin. Google sieht den Kern des Android Betriebssystems vom Gerichtsurteil nicht betroffen. Trotzdem gibt man noch den Hinweis, dass sich das Mobile-Geschäft extrem schnell entwickelt und das alle Marktteilnehmer – Newcomer eingeschlossen – Ideen verwenden, die es teilweise bereits seit Jahrzehnten gibt.

The court of appeals will review both infringement and the validity of the patent claims. Most of these don’t relate to the core Android operating system, and several are being re-examined by the US Patent Office. The mobile industry is moving fast and all players — including newcomers — are building upon ideas that have been around for decades. We work with our partners to give consumers innovative and affordable products, and we don’t want anything to limit that.
