I’m planning to buy an Acer Iconia Tablet with Android 4.2. The main reason isn’t internet use, but I want to copy JPG-files from my cameras with the help of a SD-USB-cardreader connectet over USB-A-to micro-USB-cable on the tablets 32 GB-card in the SD-Slot. So I havn’ to carry allways a heavy Notebook with me on my journays. Ideal would also be a functionable connection with an external 2’5 HD with external power support, to read and show all kind of data on it with the tablet, copy data of it to the tablets SD-card and vice versa. I couldn’t find any about that in the manuals of this tablet and different others with Android only about connection with a PC is allways spoken and although nothing said about an existing filemanager in Android System. So I googled and found ES FILE EXPLORER as a possible usefull candidat for what I need. Or is an Android System not able or not meant for such old fashioned type of direct communication with Your own data over USB-cable-connections as I still prefer, and only thought for detours via wireless, internet and cloud, but I havn’t found any wireles SD-cardreader on the market.
Thanks for help
